I wish I could hire me.

Hi, my name is Brandon Morris and besides being a house sitter I'm also an actor/photographer/dog lover/cat lover/plant lover residing in Queens, New York. I sometimes travel for work for a week or 2 at a time. The last time I needed to work out of state I needed a house sitter. Just someone who could come in for an hour a week to take care of my place: Bring in the mail from my tiny mailbox, maybe do some light cleaning, and take care of my indoor plants.

I went to Google looking for a house sitter but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

I didn't want to ask anyone close to me. I didn't want to put anyone out. I dislike asking for favors. I just wanted someone that I could pay and that I could trust to take care of things. The first 20-30 entries on Google were mostly people looking to live from place to place for free in exchange for house sitting services. I don't have pets because my building won't allow it, so I don't need someone to live in my apartment. I ended up asking the super of my building.

He's a nice Albanian man that I've had little interaction with. He lives on the bottom floor of the building with his wife and kids and is a very busy man. He's had to come into my apartment when I wasn't here before and I trust him. When I asked him I offered him money and told him what I needed. Just the plants and the mail. He was hesitant but eventually agreed but said that his wife would do it because "She's better with flowers".
